Looking at kits where they create robots. I wonder if they can be simplified with wireless power and wireless communication. Maybe the power could be from wireless induction and the signal or mini power from Wifi. This way they don’t need all those wires to work. The robot exterior could then be streamlined.
For the assembly of electronics maybe this could make things much easier and fault tolerant. No broken soldering and more.
So each component would then have a little wireless chip and an induction receiver.
The idea is simple. Why not sell computer monitors that are ready for photo frames in different styles and colors. I think this could make the monitor match the rest of the apartment or office. So the idea is to come to some agreement on the way the monitor photo frame is attached. Maybe the solution is simple. For instance one could have a large frame with different inside frames. Anyway I think the computer monitor is way to boring (only black) and needs a personal touch.
This idea is inspired by Farm From A Box, http://www.farmfromabox.com/ . It’s really a very innovative idea and lightened my day. After reading about that I thought why not a solar powered car/motorcycle service station or a solar wood carpentry shop. Maybe in containers or prefab buildings. If you can transport something similar to rural places or refugee camps then we will begin to get a modern refugee plan of action.
Creative tasks like programming and self improvement by education (MOOC) has become very popular during recent years. I imagine this has given rise to a unfulfilled knowledge demand. I imagine that not every amateur project is even begun because of the lack of knowledge. With Internet there is no reason why this should be true. My suggestion is therefore that people could get paid as online help assistants. The idea is that knowledge of a topic is divided to many subtopics. Each subtopic is then handled by the assistants. They then keep their knowledge of the topic up to date. Maybe each assistant has his own particular book to cover.
So the idea is that people could sell their knowledge as an expert in a book. Because there are millions of different books there should exist plenty of job opportunities.
Another topic would be Machine Learning. Here there is a huge lack of public knowledge. Maybe there could then exist an online learning hub just for that. Paid access to this hub for a month would surly be worth it.
For the Internet services to become popular there has got to be an easy way to pay for them. Here is a need for something like Google Play For Services as easy payment.
The idea is simple. This week my phone company network had a two day breakdown in my area. I could not make or receive calls. However since we now have smartphones there is almost always a possibility to connect to the Internet. So the idea is to connect to my phone account through the Internet instead. With an application on the phone I would then only need to turn on the Wifi and be able to make calls as usual. Even if the network is down. Also if you loose the phone, it gets stolen or you break it. It should then be possible to log in and make sms, calls and so on from a browser.
I think we need to consider a build up of an emergency employment capacity in the world. The idea is to make use of both money and the working capacity of the refugees. For a large refugee camp you probably need a distribution of companies, shops, services and factories. In short you need a lot of employment possibilities. Even if some companies won’t generate a profit. Any income generated under these circumstances is better than nothing. So the idea is to help companies that can turn a working capacity into money for the refugees.
Another idea inspired by Africa and Turkey is to take advantage of drought resistant potatoes that possibly can be grown in bags. I thought maybe these could generate a little income for refugees in those large camps.
Since you can store a lot heat in many materials they can act as a battery if you only know how to turn heat to electricity efficiently. The reason to develop heat to electricity capacity would be the very low cost of the energy storage.
My idea is to use a magnetic fluid to turn a temperature difference to electricity. The temperature difference I imagine could be created using heat pumps to create the very hot side and the very cold side. For the electricity generating invention I took inspiration from the lava lamp. Hot fluid rises to the top and gets replaced by colder fluid. I therefore wonder if you can have a magnetic fluid that moves between a hot and cold places. Since its magnetic it can then induce a current in the wire coil.
The idea is simple. Games takes many man hours to make. So why not sell almost finished games for the user to fix. This way the user does’t need to make a game from scratch. They way I imagine it could work is if the problems left undone in the half finished game are intentional. The aim is then that the user will get the game to work with tutorials and thereby learn a lot along the way.
This idea can also be made to fit the users experience if you make the game modular. Here you first you fix the minimum requirement of the game. The bare game will then be able to run but different levels of the game are left out. Those will require more of you as a programmer when developing the missing parts.
Even big 3D shooters can be made as an educational project. Here you don’t need to compile the software. Instead an autograder compares the code written by the user with the working source code. If it passes the tests then that part of the game is unlocked.
Judging from the history of video games. Games have gone from simple text based adventures to advanced 3D super games. With that people are willing to pay more. Inspired by this, the idea is simple. Games took off when we got 3D acceleration. Similary we need hardware acceleration for the web experience also. The solution should be open source so that people sitting infront of Linux, Mac or Windows all can share the same experience. One obvoius benefit of acceleration is that ads won’t slow down the page rendering. I belive this idea is needed and will generate a lot of jobs both on the hardware side and then on the software side.
Since music software is pretty expensive. Why not create something like a monthly fee based repository where you can download your favorite instruments and digital audio workstation software to your computer. So with this I could perhaps pay 99kr/month for say FL Studio and an unlimited amount of VSTI instruments and effects. When I come to think of it. I really like this idea.
The guess is simple. Since there exist multi junction solar cells and even if they are not the same as Peltier elements. Should there not exist multi junction thermoelectric devices? I would argue that there should be more research to improve the Peltier element. The usual device is very small compared to a solar panel. A more complex construction should therefore be possible.
This is speculation on my part. With metal 3D printing couldn’t you alternate steel with different carbon percentages to get optimized properties. Different constructions would then have different distributions. So the idea is that with a 3D printing machine you could choose between different steel powders with different properties.
The idea is simple. Use more of the brain to find the answer to a question. What I mean is when you get a question in school for instance you also write down the question and speak it to yourself. Thereby your brain has formulated the question in different forms. Since the brain acts somewhat like machine learning it will take information from whatever is possible. Some of that decision processing will be automatic. With this you will have an easier time solving any question using your ordinary methods. In addition to this write down keywords as they come to your mind when solving the question. This will help your brain if it gets lost.
The purpose of the matching idea is that perhaps this can be used in a fast way to generate inventions.
When looking at objects in our universe they are built of smaller matching objects. They belong to the bigger object, they match somehow. For organic objects you find that they match within the exterior and the object as a whole. My idea is that you can place a number on that property. A matching value.
The tool for this I imagine is something like a 3D heal section function for objects. You can try examples of the 2D heal function in GIMP (software) for images.
If you then take some size of the volume out of the object and heal that section using a 3D heal function. You will get a value how well they matched the rest of the object when comparing with the original big object. Then integrate that procedure over the whole object and you get a matching value.
As an imagination exercise why not take inspiration from conservation of energy. The law implies that energy can be neither created nor be destroyed. As an alternative I wonder if energy can be created if you destroy an equal amount of energy at the same time.
Maybe you need the concept of not common sense ideas to unlock the mysteries of the universe. Maybe we have discovered what can be recognized as common sense ideas already and we should expand our intuition.
I’ve written before that you could use 3D models as the basis for drawing on paper. That might not be so simple as I had thought. Therefore here is another idea for you as a teacher can make. Just load a clipart or some other easy image in your image software and cut out pieces of the image. The idea is then to continue to draw and complete the image based on what’s left of the original image.
The idea is simple. Why not add the possibility to save the undo history in our Linux software. For software like GIMP, LibreOffice or Audacity it would be much easier to just let the program keep the undo state for every project when saving. Size would be larger but the hassle of redoing stuff makes it worth it. And since one can do it like an option I don’t see a problem. There is another way but the problem with that is that you don’t know when to save. This idea solves that.
As an alternative. Maybe one could when saving the image file also save an associated file which is then the undo history.
My idea is to take advantage of the human capacity for imagination in constructing a video compression system. Its really simple. Like a comic magazine you only need certain key images for the human imagination. My idea is similar. Take a screenshot of the important frames and keep the audio as is. Then you just show the still the frames some variable time each. This way you can get the size down of a video to just a very small amount. This is important for streaming on the mobile network. I imagine this could be very useful to make podcasts much more interesting. Streaming news and other videos that mostly use audio to pass information then becomes much easier.
Todays morning. Running Linux. Watching news and writing an idea.
The idea is simple. To fight poverty why not make it as easy as possible to start a business. I’m thinking we could design prefabricated homes with built in shops, small restaurants or other business spaces. I’m sure this would make it easier to start up a business since a lot of the cost is already taken care of. I’m hoping countries in Africa will pick up the store potential and perhaps also this dual purpose home idea.
I have very little experience in programming. My observation though is that software like Firefox takes way to much memory these days. When it does the CPU usage is also very high. Again I have very little experience but should there not exist a memory compression option that implements compression automatically when compiling software? With this I would not need compression like zram on boxes that doesn’t have Linux installed. If the compression method has many parameters maybe there is a possibility to use machine learning to get the right balance.
Another idea would be. Inspired by error-correcting code memory (ECC memory). When data corruption is not acceptable at all. For instance in financial computing. Why not use RAM compression where you use a checksum and data repair. Compressing data would also allow smaller memory devices that might not be so sensitive giving errors.
The idea is simple. To help the vulnerable EU-migrants sitting in front of the stores. We could provide a cheap way for them to earn some money. Since the entrance of the store where they sit often have a parking space or some other open space connected to it. Why not put in place a small prefabricated wooden ”container” building. In this they could sell hot water for tea, coffee, hotdogs or perhaps blueberry soup for when its really cold. With several of these prefab houses maybe this could be the start of minimal cost mall together with the food store.
The idea is simple. A problem with Windows computers at work or at friends is that I as a Linux user can’t then use my solutions for solving certain problems. They all require Linux to run. So I thought. Can’t we then have an online simulator of the Linux command line at some site. Like those online python emulators the syntax of the terminal could be simulated.
With this you could for example do and show an image batch conversion using something similar to the Imagemagick package. Also non Linux users could learn to love the terminal because it solves problems.
I think the command line syntax could work for the web in accomplishing advanced tasks that would otherwise require to much work with a graphical user interface.

A similar idea would be to include software with a built in terminal syntax on the smartphone and tablet. Again this could solve complex tasks that are too annoying to do with lots of thumb presses.
With a package like Imagemagick you really have thousands of options. Then maybe a command line syntax could compliment the usual thumb pressing way?
The idea simple. As a smart aid to new businesses. Also in refugee places. Could we innovate and design something that looks inviting, is more affordable and is movable for business. Something other than brick and mortar buildings or containers. I’m thinking there has got to be a possibility to construct prefabricated houses that can be used for business. With this you get a way of testing what works in a specific area with little cost. A simple way to test the location and its market. It can then serve as information for permanent buildings for those businesses. Also for others that can’t afford the rent. This could get their startup started.
The idea is simple. The desktop home screen on Linux and Android gets cluttered after a while. Could we innovate a smart home screen? At least on Android I would like to easily hide some icons. On my current Linux distribution with the MATE desktop environment I could imagine having tabs on the desktop or a icon page selector as on Android.
