When in collage I sometimes communicated by phone with my dad for difficult assignments. First we used a fax machine for sending the problems. Then later we replaced it by email and a flatbed scanner. Today all this could be done using a simple smartphone and a software like WhatsApp.
So the idea is to use a smartphone to send images of exercises or theory to a teacher group. Who then respond by voice, textchat or maybe documents.
What if the teacher groups are international? Learning English could then be a major advantage. Exercises could be sent both ways. By request from the students or the teachers.
If there are not enough teachers availible for this or the cost will be to high. Maybe one can consider using older students. Who then after an exam get the qualifications. Here the student does not need to know everything. The questions from the learners are seperated to each teacher student based on their qualifications anyway.
So the teacher student might only need to know how to explain a number of exercises. I think this might be enough for some learners to get these over WhatsApp and then be able to ask questions.
If this works then maybe it could be an idea to sponsor an ”Education Basic” service for the telephone companies.
Education Basic would then be a free service sponsored internationally. Also maybe such a service could build upon my previous idea of an globally accesible international curriculum.
With a free service the students would not hesitate to use it for something so important as their education.
I don’t think it is all that well known. Although Linux distros install very quickly I like the liveCD flavors. One reason besides checking that the hardware is compatible is the possibility to browse during the install.
You simply don’t waste any time looking at an animated icon. Maybe its a tip for windows also. Let the user multitask during updates and installs.
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it transforms from one form to another.
As an imagination exercise I will try to extend this law.
From this law I wonder what happens if you can teleport away energy very far distances. The further away you can teleport energy the closer you are to sort of breaking the conservation law. It gets lost rather than being destroyed. But maybe thats equally bad.
To prevent energy being lost I wonder if there is a function or limit that takes affect for the distance.
If the black hole can be viewed as a filter for energy. Only emitting some kind of radiation? Then I wonder. Could there be another universe body that is “trimmed” to absorb this energy released by the black holes. Maybe this universe body (like a trimmed solar panel) can be view as a seed for a new universe.
With these elevated temperatures I try to always carry a water bottle. Now my dog who died of cancer. Had a thick curly black coat. Heat waves would have been tough on him. So I thought. If he had lived now I would have carried with me at least a 1.5 litre water bottle and a bowl. Of cause I didn’t walk the dog during the hot part of the day either. Always keeping water for the dog seems like a good idea anyway.
Im sitting here drinking coffee at a cafe. Was reading our local science magazine. It said that T.rex danced during mating. The problem though when you way so much is the pressure on the feet.
Thats why I believe such a predator hunted on soft grounds. Maybe it seeked those almost dried up lakes with soft sand. Because the ground is difficult to move in the T.rex got the upper hand on the pray. Who could not move that fast in the mud or soft sand.
The idea is simple. Why not use two projectors for your presentation instead of one. With two you can let the audience view an important image page on one projector while you progress the presentation on the other.
I have not tested but it should be easier to handle the two projectors with an app on the smartphone/tablet and a WiFi dongle like the Google chromecast connected to each projector.
Using a power sentence “that everything can be classified into groups”. An imagination exercise would then be to think of friction. As there are potential energy and kinetic energy could friction also be classified into groups?
The idea is simple. I believe we need to think about ways to mitigate future dramatic rises of energy prices. Be it fuel or electricity.
Since higher energy prices will not only affect private households. I wonder if our cities and municipalities could build flood and fire safe micro grids for important facilities.
With enough energy they could then perhaps start to sell electricity to the public. For fast car charging and more. Maybe this can be done without surplus energy from the sun. More electric charging places is important.
The idea is to educate yourself by doing instead of just reading. With an educational pot which monitors the plant health, soil and water content. You can begin to teach yourself how to manage your flowers.
The idea is that this smart pot sends information to your mobile and scores your handling of the plant. Somewhat like in games. I believe this can quickly improve your plant handling. At least I hope so. My handling so far has failed for too many types of flowers.
The idea is that once you have mastered the pot challenge for a number of different types of plants you can then handle the ordinary pots with ease.
So instead of a robotic grow machine. The problem could be that we need an inspiring fun hands on way to learn. Maybe this could be adapted for food production also. Learn how to grow food with a educational smart raised vegetables bed.
I’ve seen small air to water harvesters using peltier elements. Here they let the water in the air condense on the cold side. Since a bicycle pump gets warm when you compress the air. I wonder. Would you not get a higher efficiency if you tried to cool this warmer air. Also since the volume is smaller maybe its easier to extract water from it once its colder.
So the idea is to have a air compression water extraction cycle. Air is compressed to a container then water is extracted then the air is let out. After that the cycle repeats with new fresh compressed air coming in.
Looking at some peltier cooling experiments I noticed that the thickness side of the ceramic peltier plate was hot. Maybe there is some efficiency gains one can do if this heat is diverted away from this small but hot side.
To start with I was thinking. Why should we burn gas directly for cooking? To me. We are wasting a lot of work energy potential.
So the idea is simple. Some of that energy in the gas could be used for mechanical work. Then there could exist an engine enhanced gas stove that takes energy from the air with the mechanical work potential.
Maybe a piston engine connected to a turbocharger or compressor could work. The idea is that this would be more efficient than a direct contact between the cook ware and the burning gas.
So here I believe there is a potential for a new invention. A more efficient and safer? gas stove. The engine enhanced gas stove.
Come to think of it. Because of carbon monoxide an electric stove/oven is most definetly the prefered option. Instead of the usual gas powered stove.
Then why not a corresponding Electric stove. An engine enhanced electric stove/oven with a high Cofficient of Performance that uses hot air maybe.
So the reason is to make electric kitchen stove much cheaper to operate.
The idea is simple. Finding a good price for a product can take a long time even using the Internet. So I wonder if one could include a #hashtag with the price information for product images. Then our popular search engines could optionally include that in an updatable price text together with the image.
So with this idea you could google prices for many products. Then if you like the product then you could turn on the price information directly from the search engine.
I wonder if the alt attribute in HTML image tag could be used for this. Just add #Price 123 USD. If not then maybe this information could be accesible to the search engine from somewhere else.
In Sweden we have supermarket store brands of food. So my idea is simple. Although we have the best furniture store in the world. I thought an idea would be if these big supermarkets would have their own basic brand of beds and maybe sofas.
The idea is simple. What would be the easiest way to preserve water during a shower? I don’t think it will be by waiting for a complex invention to be installed. The simplest solution I could think of was to use a plastic PET bottle.
Just drill some holes in the bottle cap and fill it up with water. A very simple solution. Just press the bottle to squeeze out the water to rinse yourself.
I managed to take a shower with little less than 1.5 liters of water.
Just make sure you clearly mark the bottle for showers only.
The idea is simple. The problem is that I am somewhat of a refrigerator opener. I open the refrigerator far to often. This will impact efficiency and I thought there has to be a better way to minimize this than to buy an expensive smart refrigerator which I can’t afford.
My idea is then that maybe all I need is to remember better whats in the refrigerator. So I came up with the idea of the static refrigerator photo or image. This photo then shows the typical foods I buy. The idea is that this photo can be placed on the refrigerator door.
Ideally a nice photo of foods products on the refrigerator door would aid your memory and indirectly improve at least for me my electric consumption.
I don’t know the food security strategy of the refugee camps but would it work to provide and require a food backup for the refugees to handle themselves? The idea is that everyone has access to food in case of additional emergencies.
I don’t know which foods to have and how. I think there should be information available. Maybe an emergency supply kit could work.
As a way to reduce heat from your face during sleep. I thought why not use a heat reduction blanket. The idea is basically inspired by a children’s knitted security blanket but much bigger. The way it works is by trapping colder air in pockets. You then use it as a pillow. Then when it gets hot you simple turn it to the side or some other part which feels colder.
I think it makes for a good product to be handmade and sold.
My idea is simple. I imagine a system in which you use cooled water in pipes to extract atmospheric water next to each plant. Somewhat like a drip irrigation system.
The idea is that this system would have a very little water usage. If you have a little cold water storage at each plant you should get water droplets on the outside of the container. Since the water container is cold this extracted water should not evaporate so quickly. The idea is that this allows the plant enough time to suck up the water. Partly because the soil is cooler.
I think this cold water bottle explains the idea. Use Water To Get Water.
Additionally I wonder if a storage of water near the plant could have a possitive impact on the temperature regulation of the soil. I think you could get that with computerized temperature regulation of the water in this the storage.
If the plastic storage is to be optimized then maybe the water storage container should also have something that looks like a plastic root. Something like a cone.
Also I think you need to spinn the cold water very fast in the container in order to get a better condensation effect.
