With solar power being popular in some countries. I thought what would the problems be from using solar power for refrigeration. One thing I think would cause problems is the peak effect the refrigerator would consume when you put in new products. I wonder therefore if there is a way to reduce that demand. Maybe one way could be to maintain the cold in the product from the store.
A product I had in mind is a smart shopping bag on wheels that is also a cooling bag. This way you can buy a frozen food item which you later cook. Together with the cooling bag they will keep the temperature of the rest of the food down.
Maybe fresh food markets could increase their inventory. Also with unreliable electricity they could complement their demand with solar power that they together rent. Like M-KOPA for business.
